This program allows running Backup Copies of SafeDisc (C-Dilla), Securom, Laserlock, CDCOPS, StarForce and Protect CD (and many other) protected games. It is further development of Generic Safedisc emulator and incorporates all its features. To quote its manual: "DAEMON Tools is an advanced application for multiprotection emulation. Thanks.DAEMON Tools 3.47 is a virtual CD/DVD drive program for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP, capable of mounting many types of disc image files. I just wanted to check what you know before trying to re-organize this entry. I'm trying to complete/clean up the Jules Verne first editions and just got this far.

I believe this would account for the OCLC confusion on the number of pages. The latter is the in-8 format (typical hc or the day) and had illustrations from the (even earlier) serialization. The earlier one is the in-18 format (say pocketbook size) and had no illustrations. The notes say this is for the first edition (1877-04), but your image is of the first illustrated edition (1877-09). You loaded an image of a publication of the Jules Verne book "Les Indes noires". Thus D 1979/0265/306 means this is the 306th publication by "Het Spectrum" in 1979. The D stands for "wettelijk depot" or "dépot legal", JJJJ is the year of publication, XXXX is the code given to the publisher by the Royal Library of Belgium, and YY is the serial number of the publication (for this publisher, in the year of publication). In short, the structure of the code is D/JJJJ/XXXX/YY, and is mandatory for anything published in or about Belgium. The code is explained here, in Dutch of course. In the notes you state "Copyright page includes the code "D 1979/0265/306", whose meaning (other than the publication year) the verifier does not understand".

I'll be verifying my copy of this book one of these days. More information about dtrace and sar is included in the "See Also" section of this article.

For even more visibility, the dtrace stability and data stability probes even have a trigger for OOM conditions that will fire if the kernel kills a process due to an OOM condition. Tools such as sar (System Activity Reporter) and dtrace (Dynamic Tracing) are quite useful for collecting specific data about system performance over time. There are a number of other tools available for monitoring memory and system performance for investigating issues of this nature. In order to verify your serial number(s), enter it in the Serial Number Validation tool at This field notice provides the ability to determine if the serial number(s) of a device is impacted by this issue.
